El Panchán - Above tha sky - was founded in the early eightie's by Don Moisés Morales, an expert on the ancient Mayas. More than twenty years ago Don Moises transformed fourteen acres of land into a place where you can enjoy the wonders of tropical rainforest.

    Here you will find different kinds of accommodations, restaurants, swimming-pool, and services like telephone, internet or laundry. All this just few metres from the main entrance to the National Park, where the archaeological ruins of Palenque are located.

    From the begining, El Panchán was a place where people from all around the world meet. Jungle lovers, backpackers, tourists interested in Mayan culture, musicians, craftsmen. Hundreds of people visit us every year and many of them come back, attracted by the magic of this place.
